Are you interested in 3D modelling, electronics, programming and robotics? If yes, take part in the 3D Robot League!
- during the summer holidays, Round 1 is running - an introduction to the kit, technology, hardware and software
- in Round 1, competitors submit documentation for their creations, which they build according to the instructions
- the other rounds start in September, and other competitors may also join with a shortened Round 1
- the sponsor will support 15 teams in the first round, which is now starting; based on applications filled in by 26 June 2026, we will send them a kit worth approximately 60-100 Eur
- competitors will have to solder wires and pin headers onto electronic components
- as always, the best solvers will receive material prizes
- fair play and a healthy competitive spirit
- participation is free, and in one half-year you can solve many different projects!
- in the 3D Robot League, you will not experience the frustration of placing the robot badly at the start of a tournament or forgetting to connect some component; you have as much time and as many attempts as you need. The goal is not to stress, but to show that you have solved the task!
- you cannot miss it either!
Rules
- In a school club, club or at home, the team solves the task independently and on time and submits its solution on these pages.
- The solution can be submitted only after the team has registered or logged in on these pages in the top right corner
- Team members are up to 18 years old (on September 1, 2026, they must not be older than 18). Each contestant may contribute to the solutions of only one team in each round, but changing team members between rounds is not prohibited.
- The team has an adult supervisor who is responsible for the team's activities and the uploaded content, but does not assist the contestants in solving the tasks (unless they are also a team member). This means that the supervisor does not suggest ideas for solutions, does not participate in the development of the mechanical design or the program, but may help contestants overcome technical obstacles on a general level.
We kindly ask team supervisors to maintain their integrity by adhering to this rule. - The solution contains:
- a description of the solution with a list of the components used and how they are connected
- a group photo of your team,
- a photo of the robot showing how it is constructed
- the program and 3D model files
- and a video showing how the robot solves the task
- The use of artificial intelligence when solving the tasks is permitted, but it must be disclosed in the submitted solution – what tools were used and for what specific purpose.
- You may use any electronic components from the kit, any 3D parts from the kit, or parts you design and print yourself. Extra rubber bands, strings and springs are allowed; otherwise, consult the judges in advance unless the task statement specifies otherwise.
- Your solution will receive 0-3 points in the overall league ranking - of the two tasks, the one for which you receive the better evaluation will count. You may solve both; we will also record the unused points and somehow reward them at the end.
- The competition is evaluated in two categories - Explorers (simpler tasks) and Pioneers (more demanding tasks)
- Solutions are evaluated by a group of independent judges.
- If the task seems difficult, simplify it as needed! We are also interested in partial solutions, and you can receive at least some of the points.
- The purpose of the competition is not to defeat others, but to pursue your creative hobby, learn as much as possible together, and have some fun along the way.
How do we evaluate?
Your solutions will be carefully reviewed and evaluated, in accordance with the instructions for the given task, by Jozef, Paľo and Rišo – the organizers of the original Robot League:

Each of them independently assigns 0-3 points according to whether the solution is complete (contains pictures, a video, the program, a good description, and the robot does what it is supposed to do) and how much it impresses them. The arithmetic mean will count in the table. We evaluate the Slovak and international rankings separately.
The Kit
- it was developed by Sebastián Horváth from FMFI UK in 2025 - 2026 as his bachelor's thesis and by a team of collaborators
- it contains around 300 plastic 3D-printed parts, an RP2350 control unit with a support board and 17 kinds of other electronic components, a set of screws and nuts, wheels and a caster ball, LiIon batteries with a holder and charger, cables, pliers and a screwdriver set
- according to the instructions, 4 different robots can be built - an explorer, a line follower, a maze mouse and a manipulator with an arm

GDPR: The Robot League is an online platform for sharing solutions. The person who uploaded the solutions to the website is responsible for the content and for consent to publish the solutions, photo documentation and video documentation. Solutions remain publicly available in the archive without time limitation. Robotika.SK also archives the e-mail addresses of teams entered during registration for the purpose of communicating with the teams. If you request that some photographs or e-mail addresses be removed from the website, write to: pavel.petrovic@gmail.com. By participating in the competition, competitors express their agreement with these rules.
